On July 22, Maryville’s leaders made the very hard decision to pass Ordinance 8288 requiring face coverings throughout Maryville. We applaud their leadership and fully support their steps to slow the spread of Covid-19. Effective immediately, masks or face coverings will be required to enter the Board Game Cafe. We realize that the community is very divided about this ordinance and that people are very passionate on both sides. We ask that you be courteous and respectful to our employees and our other customers by adhering to the ordinance when visiting us. Together we can and will make it through these trying times. Thank you so much for your continued support.
Now open extended hours as well. We have removed some tables to encourage social distancing so occupancy may be limited. To help keep you, our employees, and other customers safe, we do ask the following….
Please limit your gaming to only your current social group.
Maintain 6 ft social distancing to anyone not in your immediate social group.
Masks are not currently required, but are recommended.
Please only handle games that you are planning on playing.
Return all games played to employees at counter so that they can be properly sanitized.
and Have fun!

Hey friends! To continue to encourage social distancing, the cafe will remain closed for now. Our online shop is open 24/7 with same day no contact delivery of games and coffee beans! Maryville has enacted a public health emergency. Provision 2 says:
In accordance with the guidelines from the President and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), every person in the City of Maryville shall avoid eating or drinking at restaurants, bars, or food courts; provided, however, that the use of drive-thru, pickup, or delivery options is allowed throughout the duration of this order.
That means us. Sitting down to stay at the cafe is no longer allowed, and while we long to offer our coffee in a proper mug, all drinks have to be made to go.
We have plenty of beans for sale (whole or freshly ground) so you can take the taste of the cafe home with you. We also are selling a small selection of board games that can be played at home, so you won’t be too “board” without us 🙂. Or purchase an e-gift card. Enter coupon code SPRINGBREAK20 for 10% off.
We’ll post here as things change and thank you for your continued support!
On the run? Grab a quick bowl of soup to go!
